I love helping clients improve their fitness and helping them grow more capable. I love helping midlife women feel stronger, tone up and move better. My training style does not believe in the no pain no gain motto. I believe we should always listen to our bodies. Pain is a clear signal that something is wrong and to ignore that is to ask for an injury later. I believe a positive attitude as well as educating my clients on fitness and nutrition, is the key to making lasting changes.
When I was in my late 30’s I started suffering from frequent shoulder pain and I was subsequently diagnosed with scoliosis. I realized then that I needed further education to help take care of my body. As I continue to grow older and in order to help me continue doing all the activities that I love. I decided to go to school at the American Academy of Personal Training after turning 40. It was by far the best investment I have ever made. I knew then that I wanted to pursue my passion and make fitness my career. I have since trained clients of all ages and abilities.
Some of my Personal Training qualifications are listed below:
- 300 Hr Personal Training Diploma from American Academy of Personal Training, Boston
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer with Distinction
- NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist
- 200 Hr RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher)
- FMS Level 1 certified
- Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified
